Create 2D and 3D Games
The right software in question is called Superpowers, and it’s all about making it possible for folks to create 2D and 3D video games. It’s an open-source tool, so there are no huge amount of expenses here.
Superpowers is a good program for developing or creating 2D & 3D games for Windows, Linux, Android, iOS. This is also a tool for people who know how to code. Don’t download Superpowers expecting it to be a drag and drop game creation tool, that’s not what it’s about. Users should already have some knowledge, and if not, must be willing to learn. First, we had to download the file which is little over 40MB in size. After installing and launching the file, we get to see a decent looking user interface with tabs. One of the first thing users should see, is a list of servers. The local server should begin immediately. Double click on “My Server” and select your preferred username to go forward. From here it’s possible to open up the server to the public. You’ll need to add a password before doing this, you know, for security reasons. With the server open to others, users could collaborate with team members no matter where they are located in the world. To collaborate, just share a special link with your IP address to colleagues. They will then have to paste it in their web browser and access projects without having to install the software. The next thing users will want to do, is create a new project by clicking on the option, “New Project”. Enter the name and description of the project to get started. To re-open, just double click on its name to get started. Now, there are several features, here, but if you’re interested in increasing functionalities, you’d be happy to know that Superpowers is a program that supports plugins.
Want to type code? This can be done using TypeScript directly from the software. The best thing about Superpowers, however, is the ability to work over the internet with anyone, as long as they can gain access to your local server. Overall, a great product. We’re not developers, but we can tell when something is worth having, and this tool is one we recommend. Any game created from Superpowers can be made to play on Windows, Linux, Mac, iOS, and Android.
