Netflix error UI3012 and UI3010
Netflix error 3010 points towards browser issues or network connectivity while error 3012 points primarily towards network connectivity. The reason we have clubbed these errors is that the basic cause and resolution is similar – the system is unable to reach the Netflix server. In case you encounter either of these errors, try the following solutions sequentially:
1] Check the status of the Netflix server
If the Netflix server is down, no matter what you try, you wouldn’t be able to fix the problem. The good news is that such a situation is rare. Even if the server is down, it would be temporary. You can check the status of the Netflix server here.
2] Clear your browser’s cache files
The cache files are important for the system in the sense that they store information associated with web pages offline. Whenever you open the pages again, the cache files help you in loading the webpage faster. However, if the cache files associated with the website, in this case with Netflix, are corrupt, you would encounter the error in the discussion. So, to resolve this case, you can delete the cache files associated with Netflix stored with your browser.
3] Power-cycle the modem, router, and computer
Power-cycling your modem, router, and the computer will allow the router to re-establish the connection with the ISP. The procedure for the process is as follows: Switch OFF all the 3 devices – modem, router, and computer. Switch ON the modem and wait till all lights are stable on the modem. Now switch ON the router and wait till all lights are stable on the router. Finally, switch ON the computer and check if it resolves your problem.
4] Remove VPN and proxies from the system
Netflix has location-specific content and users try to bypass the restriction by using VPNs and proxies. In such cases, Netflix ceases the connection, thus causing errors like UI3010 and UI3012. Thus, you are required to disable all VPN services and proxies from the system while using Netflix. The procedure to disable proxies from the system is as follows: Click on Start and go to Settings » Network & Internet » Proxy. Under Manual proxy setup, turn OFF the switch for Use a proxy server. Other than the solutions mentioned above, you can always check the internet speed since Netflix needs quite a stable and fast connection.
